Glass with compresive stress on the surface of tempered glass, Also known as reinforced glass. Glass was reinforced by toughening, which began in France in 1874.
Tempered glass belongs to safety glass. Toughened glass is actually a kind of prestressing glass. In order to improve the strength of glass, chemical or physical methods are usually used to form compressive stress on the surface of glass. When the glass bears external force, it first counteracts the surface stress, thus improving the bearing capacity, enhancing the glass's own resistance to wind pressure, heat and cold, impact and so on. Be careful to distinguish it from FRP.
|Function||Wind pressure resistance, heat and cold resistance, impact, etc.|
|Characteristic 1||High mechanical strength; good elasticity; self-explosive|
|Characteristic 2||It has good thermal stability and is not easy to hurt people after crushing.|
|Application||Doors and windows; automobiles; curtain walls; window furniture,tempered glass dining table,coffee table etc.|
|Shortcoming||Can't cut, wear, extrude, need to be customized|
